The 2020-2021 school year was difficult for everyone – students, parents, concerned grandparents, and teachers. CEF of Peninsula is so grateful for the dedicated Good News Club teams who found new ways to connect with their GNC members: Zoom, home visits (distanced), goody bags with devotionals.

Affirm others for who they are in Christ.
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
Bless the children with affirmations for good behavior.
“From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise…” Psalm 8:2a
Call upon the LORD in every situation and daily put on the full armor of God.
“…be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God.” Eph6:10-11
Determine to honor God with their words and actions.
“…that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father…” John 5:23
Encourage the children to put their trust in God and do and say what pleases Him. “Let the little
children come to me … for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Mt.19:14b
Follow God’s lead whole-heartedly with confidence as He enlarges one’s territory.
“… you will abound in every good work…” 2 Cor.9:8
Gift their time and talents & tithes to further God’s kingdom and see God multiply the fruit.
“A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.” Prov.18:16
Help in a variety of ways as God leads.
“I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Is.41:10b
Impact lives by imparting the knowledge of God to the next generation.
“Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” Deut. 4:9b
Joy in the blessing of seeing lives changed for Him.
“I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” Psalm 13:5
Kneel before the LORD on behalf of the children of the world to hear of Jesus’ love and receive Him.
“…Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.…” Psalm 17:5a
Love the children to Jesus.
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me;” Mark 9:37a
Meditate upon His Written Word which leads to growth in contemplation of the Living Word and in Christ.
“May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the LORD.” Psalm 104:34
Note no negotiation on God’s Truth. “…the truth will set you free. ”If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
Obey God’s promptings to be His hands and feet and speak His Word. “…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” I Peter 3:5b
Pray regularly for the children by name to trust God and make Jesus #1 in their lives.
“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Qualified with faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, kindness and love.
“… these qualities… will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive.” 2 Peter 1:8
Relay one’s testimony and the impact of the Scripture’s leading ad confirmations. “In the future,
when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them…” Joshua 4:6b-7
Share nuggets of wisdom to encourage others in their journey of life. “All this also comes from the LORD Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom.” Isaiah 28:29
Teach the stories of Bible heroes who faithfully obeyed God’s direction.
“Tell it to your children …and their children to the next generation.” Joel 1:3
Use God’s blessings upon their lives to bless others.
“God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you,” 2 Cor.9:7b-8a
Value each child for their uniqueness.
“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.” Matt. 11:25
Wait upon the LORD to know His leading and say, “Yes, LORD!” “Be still before the LORD and
wait patiently for him;” Ps.37:7a “…the LORD upholds the righteous.” Ps. 37:19b
Exemplify seeing others through God’s eyes and finding words to encourage them.
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” I Cor.11:1
Yearn to hear the children shout, “Hosanna to the Son of David.” Matthew 21:15c

Zip for Zeal in doing all they can to support God’s command, “Let the children come to me.” Lk.18:16b
