As we experienced in our personal lives, the 2.5 years of disruption during the COVID 19 pandemic required perseverance and flexibility. When things go wrong in our lives, we need to always trust God and ask Him, “What do You want me to learn?” We have been doing exactly that in our CEF of Peninsula chapter.
God answered prayer and provided us with innovative methods to reach children when we are not allowed in the schools for the children’s safety. Both Good News Clubs and teen training went forward using Zoom, with teaching also in homes and parks.
When a few schools allowed after-school clubs for the 2021-2022 school year, our faithful GNC teams were so glad to be back. God blessed their efforts: 9 Good News Clubs met, reaching 112 children with 54 putting their faith in Jesus for the first time! Then our summer teen ministry held 12 open-air 5-Day Clubs reaching 105 children who may never have hear the gospel before.
As one GNC leader noted, “The children are so attentive, listening eagerly to God’s message of hope in Jesus.”
God answered prayer and provided us with innovative methods to reach children when we are not allowed in the schools for the children’s safety.
This fall, even more schools welcomed Good News Clubs. Praise God! So far 10 GNC teams have welcomed 95 children and another 5 GNCs are gearing up to start in the new year. The Lord wants every child to hear that He loved so much He sent His Son.
