God is Working, Even in Bouncy Hearts!
In Good News Club this year we had a delightful but very energetic 1st grader. Each week she would come bounding into club full of enthusiasm, jumping from one table group to another, then wiggling and chattering through story time and the other club activities. I prayed that God’s truths were getting into her bouncy heart.
At the last club meeting of the year, I gave each child a wordless bracelet. My bouncy first grader was as active and distracted as ever, as I explained God’s salvation plan through the colors of the Wordless Book.
The next week while attending a school play, I spoke with a fifth grader from our Good News Club. She was a teacher’s helper in my bouncy 1st grader’s class. When she came into the class to help a couple days after our final club meeting, there was that seemingly distracted 1st grader sharing her Wordless bracelet and the colors’ Gospel message with a friend.
God is working even in bouncy hearts!
